How we use your data

Stored on your device

• Your shopping history — every product you've analyzed.
• Your price alerts / watchlist items.
• Your preferences (favorite categories, brands, price sensitivity).

All of this lives in your browser's local storage. Nothing here is uploaded to us.

Sent to third parties (only when you take an action)

• Product name or identifier → sent to our product-lookup service so we can fetch prices and retailer listings.
• Product name, brand, category, and current price → sent to the AI service that refines the verdict and price prediction. We do not send anything that identifies you.
• When you tap a Buy button, the retailer sees a ref=buywise tag so we can measure whether the recommendation helped.

Never sent or collected

• Your camera roll or clipboard contents — we only see what you hand to BuyWise.
• Your browsing on other websites.
• Your name, email, address, or payment information.

You are in control

• Export your data as JSON from Profile.
• Clear your history from the History screen.
• Clearing your browser storage erases everything BuyWise knows about you.
